I found a really great recipe for lemon lavender shortbread cookies about a month ago. I searched and searched for culinary dried lavender and finally found some in Cost Plus. S and I decided to try out the recipe last night. They smelled so yummy with the lemon and the lavender scents combined. We waited and waited for them to cool off. Then we tried them. YUCK!! They did not taste what I was hoping for. The lavender was so strong and not to my liking. Oh, well. Live and Learn! I think I will stick to my normal chocolate chip, snicker doodles, Russian tea, and peanut butter cookies!

I hate it when that happens

Oh, what a bummer! I hate it when things don't work out and you are expecting culinary perfection! I had lavendar ice cream once and it was very nice, but I have never been brave enough to try it in anything else.
